Travel Information
Entry into Canada:
Passports are required to enter Canada. If you've ever had criminal charges, even without convictions, such as a D.U.I., you might have difficulty entering Canada. Reach out to: www.bordercrossing.ca or 1-800-438-7020
Importing Firearms:
A Non-Resident Firearm Declaration Form (CAFC 909) is all you require to bring a firearm into Canada. Fill out in triplicate before arriving, sign in front of customs officer and pay a $25 registration fee. For more info and how to pre-process please visit the Canadian Firearms Program website.**A bow is not a firearm and requires no forms for entry. **
Exporting Game & Trophies:
When game and/or trophies travel with you as personal baggage, within 30 days of the kill date, your hunting license acts as an export permit. You will be provided and asked to fill out and sign a US Import permit 177 at customs on departure. All trophies are prepared by us for travel with you. Large moose racks may need to be crated for shipping. We are happy to recommend trusted local taxidermists if you prefer to leave your trophy behind. Game meat is processed at local butcher shops. Time permitting, frozen meat in totes, can travel with the hunter as extra luggage. Extra meat can be left with us to be used and/or donated locally.
